Request For Proposal
Forest By The Sea Homeowners Association invites you to offer a proposal for
building Finger Piers at the Forest By The Sea Marina per this request for
proposal. Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Board on or before July 10, 1998.
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals. The Board
proposes to issue a contract after their July 13, 1993 meeting.
All work shall be performed according to state and local regulations and shall be
inspected and certified by the state and local agencies having jurisdiction. The
contractor shall obtain all permits required for the work
Please include the following with you proposal:
• Liability insurance coverage and limits
• Proposed start date.
• Proposed completion date
• Material specifications
• Manufactures warranty
• Contractors warranty.
Scope of Work:
Build Finger Pier Per Specs To Include:
• Pier to be 39" wide.
• 23' Length to be figured for quoting purpose (will vary with each location).
Length to be determined by distance between dock&piling.
• All hardware t.o be marine grade galvanized steel.
• Lumber: No. 2 Choice, CCA-C _40, Severe Weather (water sealer) Treated.
• Positioning of Finger Pier to be determined by the Board.
• Finger Pier decking, facia, flotation and hardware must be equal to existing
floating dock quality &appearance.
• Finger Pier must clear (6") existing floating dock & existing piling when
pivoted on existing piling.
• 2" galvanized ring around piling to be thru bolted to facia.
• Dock Edging to be small "p" to run full length on both sides of pier.
• 2 Dock Corner Bumpers to be placed on end of pier_
• Dock Edging and Dock Corner Bumpers to be in white.
