RETAINING WALLS—We propose to excavate the current steep slope creating three(3)terraced areas approximately 20-feet in between each terrace level(Horizontally) by creating four(4) retaining walls constructed of railroad ties that are 38-feet wide and 4-feet tall (Vertical). Each retaining wall will have#57 stone footing with both HD erosion control fabric and 12-inches of#57 stone for drainage behind the walls. The walls will be backfilled from previous excavation to bring finished grade to 2-inches drop per 12-inches (Slope). Dead men will be installed 90- degrees to wall every 8 feet and ties will be secured using 5/8-inch rebar pins. See Drawing attached for additional details(Page 2).
