We have finally reached the point of replacing our pier that was destroyed in Florence. This note is to keep you apprised of our plans and request your reply via Adjacent Riparian Property Owners Statement for our CAMA permit Application. For now, we plan to replace the first 100 feet in a location closer to the ramp on Lot 5. That location would not infringe on any adjacent property owner's riparian water rights or limit access from the canal. We have not finalized the design specifics for the building permit but the pier will be 4-5 feet wide with an U platform at the end. Initial plan is to frame for Hogslat deck but build the deck with wood. Hogslat deck will be -installed at a later date. Attached are the Adjacent Riparian Owners Statement and CAMA Permit Site Plan for the pier showing the location relative to adjacent property. For your information, we have also included the Proposed Construction Details to be submitted to the building inspector. Please review and call with any questions. Now that we have organized, I have the letters from the three riparian owners (attached 1), an example of the letter I sent them, the site map and the construction details ready. I added the minor permit form in case there was any information you needed from it. Based on our previous discussion, we understand this Is a general permit since we no longer fit under an exception. The house is at 212 Upchurch Rd, Newport, NC .... lot 5 in Live Oak Cove subdivision. Can you please review and reply 1) if we are on the right track or if there is added information needed, 2) if we need new letters since this was 9 months ago, and 3) how much the general permit costs when we submit everything to your office.
