violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the pro,ect site and accessible to the permit officerwhen the proiect is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies bysigningthis permitthat l) priorto undertaking any activities authorized bythis permit, the applicantwill
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this proiect is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adlacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certirythatthis project is consistentwith the North CarolinaCoastal Management Program.

Proiect Location Map Proiect Description
The location of the proposed oyster shell bag
offshore sills at the properties shown in red to the
left are shown in the photograph below (yellow
line). The total lengths of the offshore sills will be
as follows:
t 541 Neptune Dr - 75 lf
o 543 Neptune Dr - 70 lf
o 545 Neptune Dr - 90 lf
t 547 Neptune Dr - 50 lf
o 551 Neptune Dr - 30 lf
The offshore sills will be constructed by layering
oyster shell bags perpendicular to the shoreline as
shown on Figure 2. The location will be no more
than 30 feet waterward of the normal high water
and no more than 5 feet waterward of existing
coastal wetlands. Coir fiber/jute matting will be
used for the bottom layer of the offshore sills.
