Dear Mrs. Overton,
Your new neighbor, Timothy J. Fick, is applying for a Certificate of Exemption from CAMA to re-
construct and repair the existing 6' x 96 ' pier and 16' x 22' platform. We will use the existing pilings —
jetting them back7down, straightening them so they are level and plumb. We will remove up to six (6)
pilings that are broker or too short to support the waterway structure and install six (6) new 6" x 6" x
16' long 2.5# marine grade pilings to support. Work will take place adjacent to property you own
located at 187 Thomas Point Road„ Shiloh, NC 27974.
Please review the attached (2) photographs that show where the existing pier and platform are located.
Also enclosed is the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement form that CAMA requires us to have
you sign and complete. We are not changing the location, the size or foot print of the existing pier.
Please make sure you place a check mark beside the appropriate line to verify if you have or if you do
not have an objection to this project. NEXT under the Waiver Section, please INITIAL the
appropriate line to verify if you wish to waive or do not wish to waive the 15' Setback requirement to
this project. After you have completed the form, please return it to be in the pre -addressed, stamped
return envelope as soon as possible.
Should you have any objections to this project, please send your written comments to North Carolina
DEQ, Division Coastal Management, Elizabeth City District Office, 401 S. Griffin St., Suite 300,
Elizabeth City NC 27909 within 30 days of your receipt of this notice. Such comments will be
considered by the Department in reaching a final decision on the application. No comment with 30 days
of your receipt of this notice will be considered as no objection.
