Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Hi, Charlie,
Ellen and I are planning on having two groins/jetties installed perpendicular
to the replaced bulkhead on Lot 7, that we purchased in 2018.
Basically, the groins will be 50' from the edge of each adjacent lot. (50'
from Lot 8 {Wilhelmi} & 50' from Lot 6 {Honig}). The groins will be 25' long,
starting at, and perpendicular to the bulkhead. A diagram is attached.
Could you, please, sign and return the notification form in the enclosed
envelope?
Also, Ted Good tells me that you are contemplating building on your lot,
and clearing & sloping the lot for eventual mowing. If interested, I have the
names of some folks for clearing the lot, and some reputable builders.

Hi, Kristie,
Ellen and I are planning on having two groins installed on the wall on Lot 7.
Basically, the groins will 50' apart, starting, at least 50' from your lot. The
second groin will be installed 50' from Lot 6. The groins will be 25' long, starting
at the bulkhead. A diagram is attached. The waiver section does not apply,
because we are having the groin installed 50' from your lot.
