RE: Permit application information.
Ed,
Pavilion pictures is requesting a general permit for a temporary structure to be built
on Bald Head Island in the vicinity of "Captain Charlies"(see topo map and plan
drawings).
The temporary structure will be a "facade" or building front, set on pilings with a
plywood decking.
The set will be prefabricated in sections using light weight building materials, and
transported to the site for installation.
The estimated time frame for set up, filming, & removal of the facade will be 10
weeks (3 weeks to set-up, 5 weeks standing to film the movie, 2 weeks removal &
restoration).
Access to the site will be from an existing vehichle trail that runs in front of Captain
Charles. No damage is expected to accrue to the natural environment. However if
damage occurs it will be restored upon the completion of the project.
