DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS DAVID McCOY GOVERNOR SECRETARY March 6, 2000 Mr. Michael Stokes, Director Wrightsville Beach Parks and Recreation Department Post Office Box 626 Wrightsville Beach,North Carolina 28480 Dear Mr. Stokes: Per your request, Mr. Scott Cooke, County Maintenance Engineer and I made a field inspection of the site at Wynn Plaza on March 6, 2000. It is our understanding that a portion of the work to be accomplished is within NCDOT right of way. The proposed work will extend the bulkhead 24 linear feet landward to prevent erosion and scouring. This work is to be performed by F & S Marine Contractors, Inc. for the Town of Wrightsville Beach. Please be advised that the Department has no objections to the work insomuch as it will help prevent further erosion of the right of way.
