Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project isinspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized bythis permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Re: Pier and Platform Replacement at 401 Masonic Ave, Cedar Point Application
Dear Ryan,
Please accept this letter as our formal request for a permit to replace the pier and platform
located at 401 Masonic Avenue, Cedar Point. The existing 200' long wooden pier portion will be
replaced with an ADA hog slat pier measuring 6' in width (5' hog slat bordered on either side by
4' x 6' timbers). The platform, which currently measures 20' x 20' will be replaced with a 16' x
21' platform made of hog slat and also bordered by 4" x 6" timbers. It will be roofed with a
standing seam metal roof, not to exceed a total of 400 square feet in area. The structure will be
located in the same position as the current pier and platform which were damaged by Hurricane
Florence.
Attached are some aerial photos of the project location as well as Adjacent Riparian
Property Owner statement from the two adjacent riparian property owners.
