The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized bythis permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . The existing 200' long wooden pier portion will be replaced with an ADA hog slat pier measuring 6' in width (5' hog slat bordered on either side by 4' x 6' timbers). The platform, which currently measures 20' x 20' will be replaced with a 16' x 21' platform made of hog slat and also bordered by 4" x 6" timbers. It will be roofed with a standing seam metal roof, not to exceed a total of 400 square feet in area. The structure will be located in the same position as the current pier and platform which were damaged by Hurricane Florence. Attached are some aerial photos of the project location as well as Adjacent Riparian Property Owner statement from the two adjacent riparian property owners.
