This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s). The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. The reinforcements to the existing seawall consist of the following: • Installation of 6" x 6" x 16'treated vertical posts in front of existing seawall approximately 5'-0" on center. • Installation of a continuous 6" x 6" horizontal post above the existing horizontal post with new %" x 16' galvanized All-thread using MR-1 Manta Rays for Deadmen. • Installation of a new 2" x 6"x 24" pressure treated wall cap will be installed over the existing seawall and the new posts. As noted in the drawings, we do not have any marsh grasses in front of our seawall.The relocated floating dock will not extend beyond the current distance (approximately 28 feet) that the existing floating dock extends into the canal. i am sending this letter and attachments via mail and e-mail. A check of$600 will be sent with the hardcopy. $200 for the dock modifications and $400 for the seawall reinforcement. Approval from both neighbors is also included.
