I have shown the locations of gear boxes,boat cleats,etc. If you need to know anything else,please let me know. The proposal is for two 8 x 20 docks and a boar lift. The purpose of the dock is for the Ocean Isle Beach Police Dcpartnie.nt ONLY. The only other boats that will be docked at this location will be for the Coast Guard,other crrergcncy personnel and boats involved in criminal investigation. However, these boats would only be there for a few hours. Only the OIB Police Boat will be there on a regular daily basis. We will post the docks with signs On the u)ooring poles and the land entrance to the gangway restricting use and access only to the OIB Police Depr. The lot is 100 linear feet which allows for 400sgft of dock. We propose to only place 320 sqft of dock. In addition we-would request a boat lif:of approximately 12'x 14'. I understand that a boat dock under a minor permit is only allowed 2 slips. The intent of the dock area is primarily only for the use of one boat (the OI13 Police Boat). I assume that during regular investigations that they would only involvc one additional boar. However,we do unfortunately realize that the nature of Police work does involve serious incidents. The incidents,hopefully rare,may involve an accident between two,boats. During these investigations it would be necessary to dock three or more boats.
