Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

DIRECTIONS FOR OBTAINING A LAMA GENERAL
PERMIT for a PIER, DOCK, BOATHOUSEILIFT
To obtain authorization to construct a pier, you must submit the following items to your
LAMA Permit Officer:
Signatures of no objection to the pier, from both adjacent riparian property
owners.

pier, and have your neighbors sign and date in the appropriate place.
If hand -delivering use the tbrm that states such.
' If your neighbor will not sign the form, orlives out of town, you may

after the date of receipt (which is listed on the green cards returned to
you by tine Post Office) the permit can be issued, even if no response
has been received.
If any part of the proposed pier is located within 15 feet of the
Riparian Access Corridor line, the applicable neighbor must check f

determining your Riparian Access Corridor, In some cases, a survey
may be required.

channel survey maps at the US Army Corps of Enghieers District
Office, 69 Darlington Avenue, Wilmington, North Carolina
3. Once you have this information you should contact Your LAMA permit officer and
arrange an appointment to meet you on thepropertyand evaluateyour request. When
you receive your permit, take it to your building utspectorto obtain a building permit.

for some reason you cannot complete the construction within this time period, The
LAMA Permit Officer will inspect the finished pier to assure compliance with the
submitted drawing and all conditions of the pen -nit.
