This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available

Hey Katharine, sorry for the late reply. I found the original permit and it appears as though the channel was excavated
to 25' in width. Therefore we propose to excavate the access channel 260' x 25' x 4' MLW (3' Cut) for a total volume of
730cy.

Do you know the original major permit number or the USACE number? I have the 2 attached GPs for maintenance
dredging but both have a narrower footprint than your proposal. Without history of a 30' wide channel I can't
authorize an expanded footprint through a GP. I'll head out there this week for a site visit. Let me know when you have
the signed notifications or green cards.

Hope all is well. I wanted to follow up on the Bachman GP that I mentioned a few weeks ago. We plan to do this
project after the Kratsa Project on Figure 8. I am attaching all of the necessary permitting materials for a General
Permit for maintenance dredging of 1,000cy of material. Please give me a call if I may have missed anything. I will drop

Hope all is well. As discussed, I am writing to request authorization to utilize the NE New
Hanover Conservancy Disposal Area for placement of approximately 1,000cy of sandy material
derived from the Bachman Project located on Middle Sound. As with past requests, an emailed
response granting permission will suffice for permitting purposes. Please give me a call with any
