RE: CAMA General Permit for Rip Rap Stabilization

Dear Ed:
As a follow-up to our meeting at 102 Magnolia Drive, I am submitting a request for a CAMA
General Permit for rip rap stabilization of estuarine shoreline. A 40' length of shoreline along a
man-made canal which abuts this lot would be stabilized. As you saw, a County ditch discharges
into the canal at this location. During tropical and extratropical storms, heavy discharges at this.
point combined with heavy waves from the northeast direction accelerate erosion along this
section of shoreline. The upland slope would be graded back so that the toe of the rip rap will be
above all wetlands. The enclosed figures detail the proposed stabilization, with the alignment we
flagged shown. Please contact me if you need additional information.

performed on his lot at 102 Magnolia Drive, Wilmington, NC. You were previously
notified of improvements to an upland ditch. Mr. McNeil now proposes to place,rip rap
