Dear Sir or Madam:
Please see attached maps and diagrams relating to the replacement of the boat basin
bulkhead on Howe's creek for Falcon Pointe. Due to a large amount of fill material that
entered the boat basin during the prolonged replacement process of the bulkhead,the
Homeowners' Association needs to perform dredging work in the boat basin to remove
this material and restore the basin to its original depth prior to the replacement of the
bulkhead.
Material will be removed only from the existing deeded boat basin and no dredging will
be performed in the creek itself. The dredging will be a one to two day process and the
spoil from the dredging will be brought on shore at Falcon Pointe from where it will be
removed by a hauling contractor. The Homeowners' Association will also be replacing its
existing damaged floating docks as indicated on the attached diagrams.
The Homeowners' Association is performing the dredging work and disposal of the spoil,
and dock replacement,under the close supervision of the Coastal Area Management
Authority(C.A.M.A.)to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
C.A.M.A. is issuing a permit for the work to be performed by an approved contractor on
May 18th 2001.One requirement of the permitting process is to receive clearance form
neighboring property owners for the work to commence.
I have attached a declaration form for your signature to offer you the opportunity to
register any objections to this proposed work. To return this form to me you may either
telephone me once it is completed(910-686-6418) and I will collect it, or place the
signed document in my mailbox(6721 Falcon Pointe). C.A.M.A. is requiring that all
declaration forms be completed and returned to me for their inspection no later than May
16th 2001.
