Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Any new portion of the docking facility will have to be built landward of the 80' Federal Channel
Setback. An approximate measurement from Google Earth shows the existing platform is exceeding the
80' Setback by about 8' or 9'. (See Picture). It appears that if you measured from the end of the existing
6' wide access pier, you would have about 10' of space before you hit the 80' Setback.

Good morning Brendan, Back in the summer Mr. Griffie at 3627 River View Lane in Supply ask
me to quote removing his existing sitting area and install a new covered sitting area. He told me
he had already talked with a CAMA rep and was told that his pier was five feet to long and no
work would be permitted in the 80' foot setback. In August the storm tore the sitting off and now
he is ready to put something back and possibly add a ramp and floating dock. We have signed
waivers with the 15' setback waived from both neighbors. How far out to the end of this project
can I go? Thanks for your help.
