It is the understanding of the Kure Beach Police that your company will be filming
and portion of Dawson's Creek in Kure Beach on February 7, 2000. The
; 'circumstances of the production I understand to be the following:
All business owners in the immediate area have been contacted and consent
giv'en'for the production.
A concrete slab and structure will be built on the east side of Freddie's and will
taken away immediately after production.
Sand will be placed on the southernmost portion of Atlantic Avenue no earlier
than February 6, and then removed immediately after production.
The lifeguard building will be painted for the production and then repainted to its
,original color.
K Ave from Fort Fisher Blvd to the Pier and Atlantic Ave from the southernmost
end to I Ave. will be closed from approximately midnight on February 6 until 7.00
pm on February 7.
TWo police officers will be assigned to the project from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on
February 7 at a net hourly rate of$20.00 per hour per man. The Town will bill
your company for the total cost of man-hours plus FICA.

The Town gf Kure Beach reserves the right to cancel all activities as
circumstances require for the well-fare and safety of the town.

CAMA,
We would like to request a permit to film "Dawson's Creek" in Kure Beach on
. Wednesday, February 7, 2001. The filming would take place on K Ave. between Fort Fisher
Blvd. and Atlantic Ave. and the south end of Atlantic Ave. No scenes will be shot on the
beach.
As per attached drawing, we would like to temporarily,place structures on the rear
driveway of Freddie's Restaurant. The main structure would be a garage, set on a 20'x24'
concrete slab. The owners of the premises would like to keep the slab after filming, but we
will strike it if necessary. In addition, a layer of sand will cover the south end of Atlantic Ave. ,
to be removed upon completion of filming.
I apologize for the late hour in which we have requested this permit. I have enclosed
the necessary sign-offs, pictures, and drawings to help you "see" the area and our proposals. I
understand how busy you are and appreciate your effort in helping us.
