Dear Jerry:
As discussed in our on-site meeting, I am submitting a CAMA General permit application for
bulkhead construction on the above referenced site. As you know, there is an existing bulkhead
on approximately half of the property's shoreline. Natural degradation together with a recent
increase in site usage has resulted in a cracked and failing bulkhead. Mrs. Black would like to
request a replacement bulkhead, which would be installed just waterward of the existing bulkhead.
The new bulkhead would be wooden and would extend an average of 19" and no more than 24"
waterward of the existing bulkhead. There would be no coastal marsh grass impact, and
the bulkhead would be angled to the property line at the northern limit to avoid any coastal marsh
impact (see attached planar view). The adjacent landowner notifications have been mailed and the
green card receipts will be forwarded to you as soon as they are received. As always, please do
