Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action;and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

second page. Be sure to complete the Statement of Ownership and the Adjacent Property
Owners Statement. Your Local Permit Officer will complete the section for the Area of
Environmental Concern classification. Once the application and a survey showing your
project are complete, follow the instructions below.
BY CERTIFIED MAIL, SEND THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO THE ADJACENT
PROPERTY OWNERS.
• 1. Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement
2. A copy of the survey or drawing showing the completed project.
3. Copy of Permit Application
BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO THE LOCAL PERMIT OFFICER:
1. A check for$100.00 made payable to the TOWN OF TOPSAIL BEACH.
2. The completed signed application.
3. Copies of the statements mailed to the adjacent property owners.
4. CERTIFIED MAIL receipts from the Post Office showing you mailed the statements.
5. If you are designating someone to act as agent for you,you must include a
written statement to that effect.
