This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).

Hi !! How are you doing?? Donna and I hope to be your way again in July. We are
coming to visit Sylvia and Jim for a week. We have started to work on the house plans and hope
to start construction as early as one year from now. We hayed decided to go ahead with our dock
permit to make sure that we have the appropriate access from a tidal creek dock to deep water.
Our intentions at this time are to build a four foot wide pier out about 150 feet to reach into the
body of tidal water straight out within our rapairian rights line. From there we can boat out to
deep water. We are sending you this letter in keeping with the requirements of the CAMA permit
process. If you have any objections to our request,please contact us. Thank you for your

Thank you for your welcome letter. We are excited about living in OceanGreens. Our
plans are to start construction of our home on lot 149 approximately one year from now. We will
contact you shortly to start the approval process.

Dear Mr. Parker,
Enclosed please find our completed permit application for a pier and floating dock for our
property at 149 OceanGreens on Oak Island. Our request at this time is to build a four foot wide
pier out about 160 feet to reach into the body of tidal water straight out in the center of our
rapairian rights line. (Please see attached survey.) We would like to attach a six foot by twelve
foot floating dock to the end of the pier. From the dock we can boat out through the tidal creek
to deep water.
The tidal canal in front of our lot, (in the middle of our raparian rights) has the same
depth as the other two minor docks already existing out from lots 144 and 145 OceanGreens.
The only difference is that our access to deep water and Piney Creek is in the opposite direction.
We understand that a permit for our dock will ensure that our ingress and egress through this tidal
creek will not be blocked. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

be susceptible to erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained to me the

In 1974,the North Carolina General Assembly passed
the Coastal Area Management Act and set the stage for

which border the state's sounds and oceanfront. Along

Resources Commission(CRC)to implement clear regula-

CAMA is part of the Commission's effort to meet the
• I I spirit and intent of the General Assembly. It has been
x "' designed to be straightforward and require no more
time or effort necessary from the applicant. Please go
over this folder with the Local Permit Officer(LPO) for
_. the locality in which you plan to build to be certain that

you understand what information he or she needs.

"`:w. Under CAMA regulations,the minor permit is to be
issued within 25 days once a complete application is in
hand. Often less time is needed if the project is simple.
The process generally takes about 18 days. You can
I �.P speed the approval process by making certain that your

- meets the specifications given inside and that your
application fee is attached.
