Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).

SUBJECT: Minor Permit Applications, Construct Bulkheads at NE 22nd Street and
NE 301 Street, Town of Oak Island
Dear Janet:
I have enclosed two permit applications for bulkheads on the AIWW. The first is for replacing
the NE 22°d Street bulkhead. The present wood bulkhead here is failing;the deadman tie rods are
rusting through and the bulkhead is beginning to collapse. The second is to construct a new
bulkhead at NE 30th Street because this street end is eroding due to the wave action of boats
transiting the AIWW.
I have enclosed a Town of Oak Island check for$200 to cover the application fees. Also,
adjacent property owner certified letters have been mailed and I will forward you copies of the
returned postal receipt"green cards"as soon as I receive them.
Please call me if you need further information or need other assistance in processing these
