Please accept this letter and check for $400 (to N.C. Dept. of Environmental Quality) for a
permit to build a bulkhead along the water line of my property at 160 Casters Cove Way,
Hertford, NC 27944. Enclosed are the green certified mail receipts for the letters sent to my
two neighbors. Previously, I sent you the signed letter from my neighbor — the Arnolds (156
Casters Cove Way). I do not know whether my other neighbor — the Steinarts — responded but
my notification letter was received at their address on Jan. 12, 2021 (see enclosed USPS
confirmation).
My planned bulkhead will be of similar height and design and attach to the existing bulkhead at
156 Casters Cove Way extend along the water line for between 180 and 200 feet. See the
general plan as attached to my letters to my neighbors.
I also attach the letter granting you permission to meet and work with my Contractor — Joe
Riddick — for planning purposes to the extent I am unavailable.
