RE: 49-Goldsboro Street __- - -- Ocean Isle Beach Dear Mr. David: Your concrete contractor,Mr. Ronnie McCray,has contacted the Division for authorization to repair the existing shoreline shell at the above-referenced property. The existing shoreline shell may be repaired from the back side of the structure(lot side/street side) in the following way: 1. Repairing cracks in the existing concrete 2. Installing a cut-off wall underneath or behind the existing shell 3. Placing fill underneath or behind the shell so long as the fill does not come into contact with the water Re-pouring the concrete over the existing shell into the water is NOT in keeping with the rules and is not authorized. So long as the work is done as described in#1-#3 above,this letter will serve as authorization for the repair. Please do not hesitate to call me should you have questions, 910 395-3900.
