Dear Brad:
Keith Johnston is requesting a general permit for improvements to an existing dock located at 721 Comet Drive in
Beaufort. The improvements consist of installation of an aluminum floating platform (8' x 20') with gangway at the
waterward end of the existing dock and a triangular -shaped expansion (10' x 12' x 15.6') of an existing platform. He
would like to install the floater long ways (20' extending into the bay). Installation of pilings to support the
improvements is also included as shown on the 10/6/2020 drawing.
Enclosed are the following items in support of this request:
• Agent letter authorizing me to represent Mr. Johnston in this matter
• Statements of no objection from adjacent riparian property owners Nelson Owens (723 Comet Drive) and
Raymond Barber (719 Comet Drive)
• Aerial photo showing existing dock
