Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

of Directors or Architectural Committee. If the boatlift is not repaired or replaced
within 60 days,the Board of Directors will direct that the boatlift be removed and
the boatlift owner will pay all expenses incurred.

Boatlift Installation Specification for South Beach Yacht Club
1. The slip owner must submit the slip number,the expected installation date, -
installation contractor, a copy of the CAMA permit,and boatlift specifications,
which must include: the manufacturer's name, weight bearing capacity and color
of bunk material. All boatlift installations must be approved, in writing,by at least
two of the sitting South Beach Yacht Club Board of Directors,prior to installing
the boatlift.Boat slip owners who install a boat lift without prior approval will be
accessed a fine of$1,000 and will be required to make all changes necessary to
comply with this specification, at the slip owners expense. All required permits will
be the responsibility of the boat slip owner installing the boatlift.
2. Under no circumstances,may any"installed pilings"be moved,removed,cut
or modified in any way during the installation of a boatlift. "Installed
pilings" include main dock pilings,finger dock pilings and"free standing"
tie-up pilings.No part of the boat lift may be attached to any"installed
pilings".
3. 'A boatlift being installed shall not,under any circumstances, encroach on a
neighboring boat slip (refer to the "Centerline"between boat slips on Attachment
A). If any part of a boatlift structure or support pilings crosses the"Centerline"
between boat slips referenced in Attachment A,the slip owner that installed the
boatlift will be required to correct the encroachment and pay for all expenses
incurred in correcting the encroachment.
4. The boatlift pilings and structure must be square(ie.,parallel to the finger docks
and perpendicular to the main dock). A boatlift found to be out of square must be
corrected within 60 days after installation or the boatlift will be removed at the
boat slip owners expense.
5. No part of an installed boatlift may be connected to the main docks or forger
docks. Building steps or otherstructures on a forger dock is prohibited. Damage
incurred to the main dock,finger docks or yacht club property shall be the
installing boat slip owner's responsibility to repair to original condition:
6. The pilings used to support the boatlift must be the same height(plus or mirn'-s 1 inch)
as the."free-standing".tie-up pilings. The boatlift frame can then be mounted on
top of the boatlift pilings. This will ensure that all boatlifts are a uniform height.
Boatlift pilings may not extend beyond the`wee standing"tie-up pilings.
7. Standard lift to be used: 10,000 1bs,ACE Boatlift(or equivalent manufacturer as
