Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I am faxing you the "Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification
Form" I received from Mr. James Heath. I apologize for this
misunderstanding concerning notification of adjacent landowners, in relation
to my pier permit previously issued by you on 277 Grandview Dr. in Sneads
Ferry, NC.
Adjacent property owner approval was obtained in January of 2003 but
unknowing to myself, I was not aware that Mr. Heath had purchased the
property during this interim time. As stated Mr. Heath has given his
approval with no objections to the proposed pier. I also explained this
information with Mr. Heath.
Thank you for your understanding with this matter and I appreciate your
comments, concerns and direction with the continuation of construction and
completion of the existing pier. Of course no changes have been made to the
pier design and construction was halted during this time of approval from
Mr. Heath.
Steve Antinori (of which has completed the piling setting) is also aware
of this approval and a copy of the approval has been sent to him as well.
Thank you again Jim for your cooperation and understanding with this
permit issue.

Dear Mr. Heath,
Per our phone discussion on Aug. 18, 2003, enclosed is a form and a copy of a plot
plan for the purpose of notifying you of my intention to continue work on my
existing CAMA pier permit as shown on the above reference property. As stated in
our phone conversation, permission from adjacent property owners was previously
obtained but the property ownership has changed within the interim time of the pier
permit. The above listed property is adjacent to property owned by you according to
tax records. No changes will be made to the existing plot or pier plan.
An enclosed stamped self-addressed envelope is provided for the return of this
notification form. Please return to me for documentation purposes and submittal to
CAMA within 10 days of receipt. Copies are included for your file if needed.
