Hi Ted,
I got your voicemail this morning.Those photos will suffice, thank you. I still need a notification from the town (neighbor
notification) because the street end is owned by the Town of Oak Island.This will go through development services with
the town. Based on past aerials,the pier was not 10 'x 10'. It appeared to be closer to 6'x 12'. If you wish to install a
wider deck, it will be a General Permit instead of an emergency permit. Let me know if you wish to put back the deck in
the existing footprint or go back with a larger deck. If you wish to go in with the larger deck the total cost of the permit
would be$400.

I had each neighbor sign 2 permits. One for the pier and one for the rip rap. Below are the two for Jim Giger. The others
I sent were for the other neighbor. Also I have attached a couple of photos of the area where we want to add the soil and

rip rap. 'Also, you indicated when I talked to you last that you thought you would be able to get both into one permit that
would not require a permit fee. Did that not work out?

requests to get your permit moving:
1) Please send me the neighbor notifications that you have completed along with one for the Town of Oak Island (you
had accidently sent me the same one twice)
2) Can you please email me a photo of the area where you would like to put rip rap at low tide with a view from the
landward side looking toward the canal
3) Please mail a check for$200 written to NCDEQ with your property address as the memo line to:
