Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief,certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

As per our conversation of last week, I now formally object to the proposed bulkhead on
Lot 20 Marina Village, St. James Plantation, currently owned by Mr. & Mrs. Keenan.
My objections are as follows:
1. The proposed placement of the bulkhead would create an erosion problem on my
property of monumental proportions.
2. The environmental impact to my property would be devastating. We have been
living on the property for over two years and have had no problems with erosion,
nor any adverse impact to the environment.
Both my wife and I feel there is no need to build a bulkhead on the proposed property,
since it will only serve as a problem to each bordering neighbor. Boat docks, piers and
access stairs are not permitted, so again, we ask, what purpose can a bulkhead serve?
Thank you for your attention in this matter.

RE: Bulkhead for Lot 20 Brunswick Harbor Marina, St. James Plantation.
Mr. Sazani:
In order to compromise an agreement so we can move forward with construction of our
Bulkhead, we agree to stop the East end of our Bulkhead no closer than two (2) feet but
no further than four(4) feet from our common property line. Riprap rock will be placed
at the end of our Bulkhead wall to protect the toe of the bank where our property line is
shared. It is agreed that the tree on our property corner can be removed and we will
maintain the ground area past the end of Bulkhead to our property line.
