Re: Lawrence Davis Request for boatlift at 43 Pipers Neck

I am the property owner at 41 Pipers Neck Road, Mr. Davis' next-
door neighbor. I have received his request for approval of his
proposal to install a boatlift on the south side of his dock. Since the
south side of Mr. Davis' dock is closer to my existing dock than
the north side of his dock is to his northern neighbor's dock, Mr.
Jordan at 45 Pipers Neck, I would prefer that Mr. Davis' boatlift be
located on the north side of his dock. This will allow more room
for his docking activities. The south side would present more
congestion in a smaller area while the north side would give more
space to accommodate the docking and removal of the boat.
The space between our docks is the primary swimming space for
children using that beach for water activities in the summer.
Locating the lift on the north side would move his docking away
from that often congested area and be much safer for all. At
present he quite often moors his boat floating on the north side
anyway so it should make little difference and be no inconvenience
for him to locate his lift on the north side.
