violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action;and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit,the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian

relocation or removal of the structure. I will also be responsible for
removing any damaged sandbags during the period they are authorized
to be in place.
I also understand that the removal of the sandbags shall not be
required if at the specified date for removal they are determined by
DCM staff to be covered by dunes with vegetation sufficient to be
considered stable and natural.

The attached images represent two properties that have applied for sandbags due to Hurricane Isaias. The first image of
the taller house next to the vacant lot is 6705 West Beach. The berm is very small as is tapers in that area and does not
go across the entire property. The property owners have requested sand bags in this location. The second image
(yellow house) is 6605 W beach and they have the same situation where they are requesting sandbags and do not have
a berm pushed up across the entire property.The concern is that high tides and wind tides are creating erosion. Would
these two properties qualify for sandbags at this time?
