Dear Mr. Coln:
Reference your letter of June 21, 2004, requesting Department of the Army(DA)
authorization to construct a 85 feet long x 6 feet wide pier and a 6 feet x 20 feet floating dock at
126 Genoes Point Road,Lockwood Folly Subdivision,Genoes Point, in the Lockwood Folly
River,Brunswick County,North Carolina.
On July 2,2000 we renewed general permit No. 197800056, (copy enclosed),that authorizes
the maintenance,repair, construction and installation of piers,docks,boathouses and boat
shelters,mooring piles, dolphins,jetties and breakwater structures in navigable waters of the
United States in the State of North Caroli.na.pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act
of 1899.
Your work is authorized provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with your submitted
plans,the enclosed general conditions, and the following special conditions:
1) All work authorized by this permit must be performed in strict compliance with the
attached.plans,which area part of this permit.
2) An as built survey of the structure will,be performed at the completion of the project and
sent to our office for review for navigation concerns.
Your proposed work is authorized if you can comply with allpermit conditions. Please read the
