RE: Saint James Plantation—Polly Gulley Creek
Ms. Bellis:
As you are aware, Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation (BEMC)
was required to retire approximately 400 ft of the existing underground
power lines along St James Drive during the bridge re-construction at
Polly Gulley Creek. To re-install the new power line, Brunswick EMC
plans to directional drill under the creek from a location near the existing
cabinet SC15 (refer to drawing) to a location adjacent to lot 81B. Both
properties are owned by St James Corporation. The new underground
lines will be located within existing BEMC right-of-way. All necessary
precautions will be taken to avoid impact to the natural communities as
outlined in 15A NCAC Section 7H.1600.
Thank you for meeting with me in December at this project location. As
you requested, the enclosed information and check should fulfill the
permit requirements.
