Dear Sir:
As the owner of the property at 303 Florida Avenue, Carolina Beach, NC, I
authorize Snow Marine Construction and Dredging to deposit dredge material on
my lot.
The material will be brought by barge from a permitted dredge site at the same
address, and deposited via a bobcat-type tractor from the barge onto my lot. The
amount of dredge material is estimated to be approximately 356 cubic yards. Snow
Marine Construction will install a silt fence on my lot at least 30 feet from the mean
high tide mark and take necessary precautions to prevent water runoff and
sediment from the material from entering the coastal wetlands. Snow Marine
Construction has confirmed to me that the ramp used to bridge between the barge
and my lot at 303 Florida Avenue will be constructed so as to protect the coastal
wetlands from any material or sediment during the transfer from the barge to the
lot.
The area for maintenance excavation, as shown on the attached sounding diagram,
measures approximately 40' X 80' and shall not exceed 4 feet below mean low
water. This project will not involve excavation of marsh, submerged vegetation or
other wetlands.
Your approval will be appreciated. I expect to begin this project within the next 90

Please review the attached and let me know what more I need to provide
or what changes are needed to the letter for approval for a Dredge &
Fill Permit on my property at 303 Florida Avenue, Carolina Beach.
When I visited you recently I left the original copies of each of my
neighbor's approval to complete this project and a check for the $100
fee.
The prior permit for Dredge and Fill was #31036-D, dated 2/14/02.
