(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Feden
regulations,applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a rt

(4) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site b

(5) All disturbed areas shall be vegetatively planted and mulched within 30 days of construction completion.

PERMIT for a PIER, DOCK, BOATHOUSE/LIFT
ro obtain authorization to construct a pier, you must submit the following items to your

Signatures of no objection to the pier, from both adjacent riparian property _-
owners.
• Fill out the attached fowls, complete with drawing of the
proposed pier, and have your neighbors sign and date in the
appropriate place.
If your neighbor will not sign the four, or lives out of town,
you may send the form to him, certified mail/return receipt,
and 10 days after their rlate of receipt (which is listed on the
green cards returned to you by the Post Office) the permit can
be issued,even if no response has been received.
• If any part of the proposed pier is located within 15 feet of the
property line or the Riparian Access Corridor line, the
applicable neighbor must check the box to waive the 15 feet
setback requirement. A signed form, without this box
does not constitute a waiver.

The Riparian Access Corridor is not the extension of property
lines out into the water. It is established by two imaginary
lines that extend at a 90° angle from the channel of the
waterbody to the highground property corners. Your Local
Permit Officer can help you in determining your Riparian

DIRECTIONS FOR OBTAINING A CAJ\4A GENERAT
PERMIT for a PIER, DOCK, BOATHOUSE/LIFT
Po obtain authorization to construct a pier, you must submit the following items to your
�AI�iA Peunit Officer:
1. Signatures of no objection to the pier, from both adjacent riparian property -
. . - -- ---- owners.
Fill out the attached fours, complete with drawing of the
proposed pier, and have your neighbors sign and date in the
appropriate place.
If your neighbor will not sign the fojiu, or lives out of town,
you may send the form to him, certified mail/return receipt,
and 10 days after their date of receipt (which is listed on the
green cards returned to you by the Post Office) the permit can
be issued,even if no response has been received.
If any part of the proposed pier is located within 15 feet of the
property line or the Riparian Access Corridor line, the
applicable neighbor must check the box to waive the 15 feet
setback requirement. A signed form, without this box
ch , does not constitute a waiver.

The Riparian Access Corridor is not the extension of property
lines out into the water. It is established by two imaginary
lines that extend at a 90° angle from the channel of the
waterbody to the hiahground property corners. Your Local
Peunit Officer can help you in determining your Riparian
Access Corridor. In some cases, a survey may be required.
2. Scale drawing of the proposed pier. Your drawing must include the
