Dear Ms. Bells
On November 3, 2004 we were issued General Cama Premit number 38496(D)to
construct a dock on our property located at 15 Cumberland Street in Ocean Isle Beach
North Carolina. The permit (copy attached) has an expiration date of February 3, 2005.
We have not completed our dock primarily due to the fact that the town of OIB is
reviewing options regarding the concrete canals which border our property. The town's
decision on the canals could significantly impact the construction of the docks on the
canals_ A January 15, 2005 meeting was held on this matter in Ocean Isle Beach.
We think it is prudent to wait for their decision or some plan of action on the town's part
regarding the canals.
Accordingly,we would appreciate an extension on our permit while we evaluate the
effect of any decision by the town. A 90 day extension would greatly be appreciated.
