Dear Sir:
On 16 November 2006,the General Law Branch of the U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics
Command Atlantic received notice that an adjacent property owner to Coast Guard Station Wrightsville
Beach,NC was requesting a CAMA permit to increase the size of the deck and gazebo at the end of the
existing pier. The proposed expansion would require the issuance of a variance to the fifteen foot
setback requirement currently required between centers of riparian access. The Coast Guard,as property
owners of 910 Schloss Street,opposes the granting of any variance and affirmatively does not waive the
fifteen foot setback requirement.

regards to this request.
