Replacement Vinyl Bulkhead
1 66 East Sea Air Canal SW, Supply,NC
(augments attached supplier instructions)
1. Immediately outboard of the failing wooden bulkhead, install 16 foot sheets of Shoreguard 550
vinyl sheet piling (0.4" thickf ness), or equivalent, to a nominal depth of 8 feet using a vibratory
hammer.
2. Path of bulkhead per NCDN3R permit.
3. Install wooden wale system (6x6 face wale) approximately 1'below cap height.
4. Install 5/8" galvanized tieba k rods anchored to a buried 2' x 2' reinforced concrete deadman.
(Rods every 6' of bulkhead lngth).

5. Install wooden bulkhead capi consisting of 2x12 top and 2x8 sides.

6. Backfill behind bulkhead using granular fill material.
