This lot will be developed for a single family beach house. Project Address: Lot#10 Osprey Drive, North Topsail Beach, Onslow County. Adjacent Property Owners: Lot #9: Joel Tomaselli Lot#11: Diane & Frank Francin Notification/VVaiver Forms: Mailed by certified mail/return receipt August 14, 2003 Property Width: 142.55 feet Water Body: Intercoastal Waterway @ Alligator Bay Project: Rip Rap fill for "V" erosion area on survey plan approx. 50 ft from the left property shoreline to extend approx. 50 ft. Ideally we would like to restore the "V" area so the shoreline continues as if the erosion never occurred...but it seems we are limited to 5 ft waterward. Shoreline marsh grasses: Except for this erosion area which has no wetland vegetation, the remainder of the 142.55 ft of shoreline has a lot of marsh grass and vegetation. NTB CAMA Officer: Sue McLaughlin at 328-1349 (cc of this memo) 1- 1opy •' j wA y 7 August 14, 2003 TO: Joel Tomaselli Diane & Frank Francin FR: Bill & Carolyn Scheick RE: Lot#10 Osprey Drive Subject: CAMA Permit to use RIPRAP for erosion control Hi Neighbors, The local NTB CAMA rep told our architect we have a fairly aggressive erosion area on the shoreline near the subdivision dock that does not have vegetation and recommended placing RIPRAP to prevent further erosion. I believe those rocks can be placed five feet out waterward to regain lost property in the "V" erosion area you will note on the attached survey plan. Wetland vegetation will soon grow between the rocks so the fill will not be noticeable. Attached are (1) a NC CAMA waiver form you should sign (unless you object) and (2) the survey plan that shows the "V" erosion and RIPRAP fill area marked with circles. This fill location is only preliminary since the state CAMA rep, Joanne Steenhuis, will formally visit the lot with me and mark out the exact location that meets all of the state's CAMA requirements.
