The reasons for my objection stated in the referenced memo arc: 1) Retaining wall between our property lines is shown to hold the fill dirt in the drawing. As you know, I object to the retaining wall and it has been removed. 2) The bulkhead shown in the drawing is two feet eight inches above my bulkhead and does not connect to my bulkhead. Mr. Medlin's original property level at this point was a good 3 feet lower than my bulkhead. i would approve Mr. Medlin's bulkhead if it were no higher than my bulkhead and tied into my bulkhead as he stated it would_ a. Note:sec attached diagram titled North Carolina Spatial Data Explorer which was shown to me and the New River Plantation Architectural Review Committee.The wall is shown in yellow,and there is no right angle coming in land at our boundary,and shows that it will attach to my bulkhead as he stated to me. i will email you the drawing since the yellow will show up as gray in the lax.The hand drawing in the attachment is what Mr. Medlin submitted to me with his current waiver request,and is what I disapprove. 3) I am concerned about erosion if our bulkheads arc not.joined. In addition, i I'Mr. Medlin's bulkhead is raised two feet eight inches above my bulkhead and dirt filled in as shown on the attached hand drawing, 1 am concerned about storm water drain off at our mutual property line and excessive water flowing onto my property(A retaining wall is not an acceptable solution to me for drainage). a. Note: We have had no regular or storm water drainage problems at our mutual property line. 4) 1 do not wish to waive the 15 foot set back requirement.
