"hanks for taking the time to explain the dredging project in general,and the planned deposit of spoil
naterial on the lot (Pam&Gary Sample's lot) to the south of our property. The location of the stakes
idicated that spoil would be deposited in an area approximately 75 feet by 75 feet. This square area was
pproximately 30 feet south of our home and ran from the high point of the lot back to the west.You
idicated that the spoil elevation would be equal to, or less than,the existing high point.
f the area used for spoil is contained as described above,and a grass cover is re-established,Theresa and I
lon't see this as having a runoff or storm surge impact on our property.
n addition to the above,we are concerned about the impact to our tenants during the removal of the pier
nd floating dock. Returning the pier and floater to their original position as soon as the dredging project is
omplete will mitigate some of the concern,but Theresa and I will forgo a portion of the tenants rent while
be pier is out of service. This issue is resolved if the folks participating in the dredging project share equally
this loss of revenue. Our expectation is that the total time that the pier and floater will be out of service
/ill be less than six weeks. If the duration is greater than this we will need to work out additional
rrangements with our tenants,which will have to be shared by all those involved in the dredging project.
i.fter discussing the project with you today we feel much better about it and it's impact on our property and
iur tenants.We believe that you have made every effort to address our concerns and sincerely appreciate
our efforts. If the Dogwood Lane Waterfront Association agrees with the comments above then we,as
djacent property owners,have no objection to the site being used for spoil.
