Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
Iandowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

FISHING PIER SPECIFICATIO STATION VII
Demolition and Reconstruction:
1) Remove existing pier in its entirety. All pilings and lumber to be removed by
contractor and disposed of on an off site selected by contractor,
2) The new pier shall be 305 feet long, 6 feet wide plus a 20' by 20' platform for
a total length of 325 feet.
3) The pier shall be at a level two feet higher than the existing pier.
Pilings: 16 -20-25 feet long, pressure treated for in seawater exposure
Set at 8 feet intervals by barge and drop weight.
Round pilings of min. 7-8 "diameter at air exposed end.
Double Girders: 2x6" bolted to pilings with galvanized through-bolts
Joists for Decking: 2x8" bolted to pilings with galvanized through-bolts
Decking: 2x6", nailed
316 Stainless steal ring-shank nails, 12d, 3-1/4" long with
checkered large heads
Benches Two 7 feet long benches at platform
Posts for rails; 5X5" bolted to pilings with galvanized through-bolts.
Rail Runners Two runners 2x4"
Handrail Cap: Rounded 2x6"
X-Cross brazing 2x6" on all piling pairs attached with galv. Lag-bolts,
Except none near the shore area.
Note: All lumber shall be pressure treated for seawater exposure
Permits: Building- and CAMA Permits to be obtained by contractor.
Permit costs to be reimbursed to contractor.
