Jackson,Steve Jacobs,George Lancaster and Philip Davids to be dredged. I also
understand that spoils will be taken over to the spoil island straight across the waterway.
This dredging should only take about 2 to 3 weeks. The equipment is rather small
and will be parked down on one of the homeowners listed docks while not in use
during the project. The project should start around the first of December.

Excavation/Fill
This permit does not authorize any ground disturbance for development waterward of thl
existing bulkhead.
In order to protect water quality, runoff from the construction must not visibly increase thi
amount of suspended sediments in adjacent waters.
The fill material will be clean and free of any pollutants, except in trace quantities. Meta
'products, organic materials, or unsightly debris will not be used.
All backfill material will be obtained from a highground source and confined behind thl
permitted bulkhead.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
No excavated or fill material will be placed at any time, in any marsh or surrounding water:
outside of the alignment of the fill area indicated on the workplans.
The disturbed areas will be properly graded and provided a ground cover sufficient to restraii
erosion within thirty (30) working days of project completion.
OTE: The permittee is advised that a permit will be required from the Town of Carolina Bead
prior to project initiation.
OTE: Future development on the permittee's property may require a modification of thi
permit. Contact a representative of this Division at 910/395-3900 prior tl
commencement of any such activity for this determination.
OTE: The N. C. Division of Environmental Management has assigned the proposed projec
DEM Project No. 960224.
OTE: This project may create mosquito breeding problems. For information regarding
appropriate mosquito control measures, contact the Public Health Pest Managemen
