Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

This letter is in reference to CAMA General Permit No. 47499, issued to you on March 7. 2007. for the
ition of boatlift at an existing pier at your property located at 209 Singleton Street, in Sneads Ferry. Onsiow

Based upon information brought to the attention of the Division of Coastal Management, it appears that an
.cent riparian property owner notification was not properly submitted to the adjacent property owner on the no.
of your property as required by 15A NCAC 07H .1202. It has also been brought to our attention that a publi
I right-of-way exists between your property and the adjacent residential property to the south. It appears that )
Dosed boat lift may encroach into the 15 feet riparian setback for this road right-of-way.
Under these circumstances, the Division of Coastal Management is suspending CAMA General Permit No
99. The permit will remain suspended until the Division receives copies or the appropriate notification to all
,cent riparian property owners and signed 15 feet setback waiver forms where applicable. The Division will re
luate the permit decision according to the newly supplied information. You may be required to provide a ripar
-idor survey indicating the location of the boat lift in relation to the areas of riparian access if signed waivers a]
