Good afternoon,
After completing a site visit at your property (27197 Jackson Rd., Salvo) on June 181, I did not find any specific current
conditions (in relation to the proposed drawings that were submitted) that would prohibit you from proceeding forward
with your project.
Please see attached the guidelines/requirements for the General Permit for the construction of piers (SECTION .1200 —
GENERAL PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PIERS AND DOCKING FACILITIES: IN ESTUARINE
AND PUBLIC TRUST WATERS AND OCEAN HAZARD AREAS) and the standard form to be supplied by
Certified Mail to the Adjacent Riparian Riparian property owners (DIVISION OF COASTAL
MANAGEMENT ADJACENT RIPARIAN PROPERTY OWNER NOTIFICATION/WAIVER FORM) of
your property.
Please note the section on the notification form that gives the other property owners the ability to waive the standard 15'
setback for the project. DCM would suggest that if you are unable to obtain the waiver, most specifically from the
property at 27580 Nc 12 Hwy Salvo, NC, that you have your property lines surveyed/marked to ensure the compliance of
your entire project.
