Dear Mr. Robb Mairs,
The North Carolina State Ports Authority requests a general permit for the construction of
a boat lift for the Ports Police boat. The construction activities will include four(4)new
pilings that would need to be installed for the boat lift for homeland security purposes.
The pilings will be the only disturbance that will take place in this area for the
construction of the lift.
I have included in this packet, a map with the location of the proposed lift on the Port, a
drawing with the 4 pilings location, a picture of a lift similar to what we would like to
install, and the permit from the last work done to the finger pier. We will not be
constructing any additional dock and will be using the existing dock to access this lift.
