Please be informed that we are in the process of repairing our dock from damages that the
wind caused approximately 2 weeks ago. Two of the large pilings that hold the stern of
our boat in place broke completely off. Upon examination we found that worms had
invaded and damaged the wood which probably caused the pilings to break. As a result
of this, we are going to turn our boat in towards the shoreline in order not to use the other
existing pilings as they may have worm damage also. In order to secure the boat we will
have to replace the 2 pilings that broke off and install 4 more in towards the shore
We are enclosing an Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver Form and
would appreciate it if you would sign and return it to us in the enclosed envelope.
Attached to it you will find a plat on which the dock and the pilings are drawn. If you
have any questions, please feel free to call us at 910-842-9727.
