Re: Walkway repairs at 643 Caswell Beach Road, Caswell Beach, NC
Ms. Coats — Here are the details of the repairs/replacements of the walkway we
spoke about on Monday (6-1-2009).
1 — The area of repairs will be from the sitting area to the end of the existing
walkway. No repairs will exceed the original footprint including the steps to the
beach.
2 - All deck boards and handrails will be replaced from the sitting area to the
steps going down to the beach. The steps and handrail to the beach will be
replaced.
3 — The sitting area will be a maximum of 6-feet wide (including the 4-foot width
of the walkway). The length of the sitting area will be no longer than 8-feet.
See detail 3-A below.
4 — Pilings and joist will be replaced "as a need basis"once I examine them after
the old decking boards have been removed.
