I understand that a pier, dock, mooring pilings, breakwater, boat
house, lift must be set back a minimum distance of 15'
from my area of riparian access unless waived by me. (If you wish
to waive the setback, you must initial the appropriate blank

Dear Robert and Christy,
I am in the process of requesting a permit to install a boat hoist at my existing pier. As
you know, CAMA requires that I notify you of my permit requests and plans. This letter
and the attached drawings detail what I am planning.
Back when I installed the existing pier and mooring pilings, Bob Hefter agreed to the two
mooring pilings that are on the southerly side of my pier. It was required that I get his
written permission because the pilings are within 15' of neighboring riparian access. Of
course we understood that he could use them to moor and secure vessels from his side as
he wished. Now that I wish to install a boat hoist on that same side of my pier, I will
move those posts several feet farther away from you and closer to my pier. I hope you
fmd this agreeable. The hoist I plan to install is very much like yours in construction and
size.
