PIPE REQUIREMENTS • 30-60" (750 to 1500 mm) N-12 HP pipe shall have smooth interior and exterior surfaces with annular inner corrugations • 30-60" (750 to 1500 mm) N-12 HP shall have minimum pipe stiffness of 46 pii when testing in accordance with ASTM D2412. • Manning's "n" value for use in design shall be 0.012. JOINT PERFORMANCE Pipe shall be joined with the N-12 HP gasketed integral bell & spigot joint. 30- through 60-inch (750 to 1500 mm) shall be watertight according to the requirements of ASTM D3212. Spigot shall have 2 o-ring gaskets securely sea in a gasket groove. Gaskets shall meet the requirements of ASTM F477. Gaskets shall be installed by the pipe manufacturer and covered with a removal protective wrap to ensure the gaskets are free from debris and damage. A joint lubricant available from the manufacturer shall be used on the gaskets and I during joint assembly. FITTINGS Bell and spigot connections shall utilize a spun -on, welded or integral bell and a spigot with gaskets meeting ASTM F477. Fitting joints shall meet the waterti joint performance requirements of ASTM D3212. FIELD PIPE AND JOINT PERFORMANCE To assure watertightness, field performance verification may be accomplished by testing in accordance with ASTM F2487. Appropriate safety precautions m be used when field-testing any pipe material. Contact the manufacturer for allowable leakage rates. MATERIAL PROPERTIES Virgin material for pipe and fitting production shall be impact modified copolymer polypropylene conforming with the requirements of ASTM D4101. INSTALLATION Installation shall be in accordance with ASTM D2321 and Hancor's recommended installation guidelines, with the exception that minimum cover in traffic are for 30- through 48-inch (750 to 1200 mm) diameters shall be 1' (0.3 m) and for 60-inch (1500 mm) diameters, the minimum cover shall be 2 ft. (0.6 m). Backfill for minimum cover situations shall consist of Class 1, Class 2 (minimum 90% SPD) or Class 3 (minimum 95%) material. Maximum fill heights depen on embedment material and compaction level, please refer to the Hancor Technical Note 2.03. Contact your local Hancor representative or visit our website at www.hancor.com for a copy of the recommended installation guidelines. N-12 HP's engineered design features a smooth exterior wall supported by a corrugated structural core resulting in significantly greater pipe stiffness and beam strength for reduced deflection and enhanced jobsite performance. Coupled with the superior strength of polypropylene, the product's smooth interior wall offers additional strength as well as the superior flow rates. The Triple Wall Design is available in 30"-60" diameters and a standard length of 20' with shorter lengths available. APPLICATIONS Storm sewer systems High performance drainage installations FOR FEATURES & BENEFITS • Advanced polypropylene resin technology • Highly -engineered triple -wall construction • Smooth exterior wall with corrugated structur • lighter weight pipe compared to traditional prc • Superior pipe stiffness • Greater beam strength • Extended bell -and -spigot with double gaskets for improved joint performance • Significant installed cost savings • Fewer joints maximizes system performance • Flexible joint alignment • Corrosion and abrasion resistant • Enhanced jobsite performance • Enhanced jobsite durability EXCLUSIVE TRIPLE -WALL DESIGN Standard and custom fittings available • Distinctive gray exterior makes HP pipe easil Smooth Exterior Wall identifiable versus traditional materials Corrugated Structural Core Swee t 1111"d r Wall!
