Box 206 Corolla, NC 27927 Monteray Shores Homeowners Association objects to the proposed adjacent riparian property application submitted by Tim Reece Construction on behalf of Mary Ann McChesney of 953 Sunburst Court, Corolla, NC 27927 for the following reasons: Ms. McChesney has not submitted a construction application to the Architectural Standards Committee for review of her proposed project. Ms. McChesney has not submitted the required processing fee for a review. The application as submitted by Reece Construction includes an aerial photo with insufficient supporting detail to make a determination as to the appropriateness of the proposal, particularly in regard to lot coverage and location and dimensions of proposed walkway. The Chairman of the Architectural Standards Committee has communicated via email with Ms. McChesney. The statement reads, in part, "The ASC has no record of an application to the ASC for such construction. Accordingly, the HOA has no choice other than to ask CAMA to deny the request. in order to comply with the HOA'S requirement, you must be a member -in -good standing (dues up to date) and file a construction application along with the appropriate application fee and damage deposit with the ASC. That complete application would be reviewed by each of the members of the ASC and must be approved by the ASC, CAMA and County prior the commencement of construction. While the ASC strives to finish its evaluation of the application in as timely a manner as practicable, the controlling documents of the HOA permit up to 45 days for that review and notification of the applicant thereof. This is due to the potential complexity of the application, the depth of the review and the potential non- resident status of members of the ASC. Once you have completed the ASC filing process and the ASC approves the application, if appropriate, you may refile with the County, if required, and with CAMA."
